As part of our efforts to make Diagonals Literary Festival a premier place for authors and readers from all around the world, we offer authors of all backgrounds to contribute with their work.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for talanted individuals eager to write quality content.
While certainly beneficial, we don’t require professional experience or writing background.
We don’t require exclusivity of your piece, i.e., it can exist on other platforms too.
What you get
To be frank, we don’t own a petroleum station or have donors with bottomless bank accounts to finance this festival. We finance this festival with our own hard-earned money.
Therefore, at least for now, we can’t reward authors with cash directly. Instead, we offer other compensations, opportunities and rewards that are valuable professionally and personally and, as a result, financially. At present, they are:
– excellent opportunities to gain exposure for yourself, promote your work or brand, build expertise, find and make valuable personal and professional connections as the festival speeds up and gains momentum
– write what you prefer at your own pace

– recommedation letters in case you need them
– unlimited free submissions for the festival’s Official Selection
– exclusive discount each month for anything on the Diagonals Store
– we value feedback and accept suggestions for the expansion of this list (as well as other things)
